It’s fair to say that I am not a minimalist.
I love colour and the way it shapes our mood. Inspired from an early age by pop art and folk tales, the colours and decorative themes, I’m always looking for beauty in the unexpected. Can’t pass a skip without peeking inside in search of treasure.
Most of the materials I use are recycled, pre-loved or happened upon, and I work mostly with paper; I like the ubiquity of paper but also its fragility and impermanence.
I started making large paper cut images in the early 2000s and these have gradually expanded into site specific 3D work using coloured light and film projection.
